Ray was a 20 year veteran of the F.D.N.Y.
that served 10 years in Rescue Company 3. Ray, a senior man in the Department and Rescue Company 3, was instrumental in developing and instructing numerous
fire department training programs at
the F.D.N.Y. Technical Rescue School,
Suffolk County Fire Academy of Long Island
and the NYS Academy of Fire
Science.
Ray leaves behind his wife and two daughters.
