Firefighter Steve Naso (L) and Firefighter, now Lieutenant, Rex Morris (R) operate on the roof of a burning tenament on Clinton Ave. in the Bronx. Rescue Co.3 operates with a two man outside team; Rescue "Saw" and Rescue "Roof". Rescue Saw carries the roof saw and a set of irons. The roof man carries the 150' Life Saving Rope and a 6' hook. They operate as a team, usually on the floors above the fire or the roof when the fire is on the top floor.
